What will you be doing?

City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint a resilient, enthusiastic and proactive Transition and Progression mentor to support students who have identified Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with Colleagues, Students and Stakeholders both internally and externally.

• You will act as Lead Professional and to deliver targeted interventions, one to one or in small groups to students with SEMH needs. 

• You will act as a mentor to students with behavioural, social and emotional needs.

• To actively contribute to the planning and delivery of a high-quality additional learning support service, aligned to the College’s curriculum strategy, mission and values

• To chair a number of Education, Health and Care plan reviews and/or High Needs reviews for students in receipt of High Needs funding

• To actively engage with achieving the strategic aims of the City of Bristol College to reduce NEETs and increase participation of the most vulnerable students.

You will need to be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels, internally and externally, as well as other members of College staff and students.  No two days are the same! Please see the Job Description for more details about the role.
