Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Transition Mentor to support the Year 7 Pastoral Leader and provide a successful transition for your people from primary to secondary school.

The post-holder will provide a high standard of welfare support for young people and families to support them to engage in secondary school. You must be able to establish excellent relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues, and work well within a team.

Salary calculated in line with NJC Grade C pay scale, points 5 – 7

£23,500 – £24,293 fte, per annum

Actual salary: £20,470 - £21,460 per annum (starting salary, and pay points will be aligned with relevant regional NJC spine on appointment, dependent on the location of the postholder).

Hours of work: 37 hours per week x 40 weeks per year (Term time plus 2 weeks)

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm / 8:30am – 4:30pm

Part time hours will be considered.
