Year round, 40 hours per week during term time (34 weeks), 25.5 hours per week for the remaining 18 weeks
The School wishes to appoint a reliable and conscientious individual to manage all school transport requirements, the School’s vehicle fleet and its respective drivers and operate an effective and safe school transport system.
Main duties include the efficient day-to-day operations of the transport department, managing the team of drivers and the vehicles, planning the transport routes to reflect demand, ensuring the fleet is properly serviced, maintained and repaired as necessary to be fully compliant. The role will also involve managing the minibus booking system, booking external coaches to meet school demands and communicating with parents and staff.
The successful candidate will have previous experience and knowledge of road safety and compliance with health and safety requirements, the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload and good IT skills. Excellent administration and written and oral communication skills are essential. Previous experience of working with 11-18 year olds is desirable.
