CORE Education Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced senior leader who is looking to join the trust in this exciting role. We would welcome applications from someone seeking to accelerate progress and attainment in our schools, in addition to influencing leadership practice across a tight knit group of schools, with a sharp focus on the development of curriculum policy and practice.
Students in all six of our schools are responsive, hardworking, and aspirational; some of them have challenging backgrounds but our schools provide them with safe and aspirational environments to enable each and every one of them to thrive. You would need to be flexible, approachable, collegiate and rigorous in developing strong and affiliative relationships quickly in one and all of our schools. You will be the part of the support and challenge which enables schools to reach their potential.

Job Purpose and Responsibilities
• Contribute to and lead curriculum development with the allocated school and the monitoring of its implementation and impact.
• Supporting and challenging allocated school in their preparation for the new EIF.
• Support and challenge allocated school in securing robust and rigorous Y11 strategies.
• Support and challenge allocated school to drive continuous improvement, raising attainment and progress.
• Utilise and analyse data to inform strategy in school and lead training development of these skills.
• Work to improve student progress and close the gap between disadvantaged students and others.
• Contribute to staff development activities.
• Support and challenge allocated school’s development planning and self-evaluation process.
• Attend Local Governing Body meetings as required.
• Demonstrate excellent and innovative pedagogical practice.
• Have an understanding of the most effective teaching strategies, how to select and use approaches that personalise the learning experience to provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential.
• Support, challenge and develop Middle Managers in monitoring student progress.
• Regularly review own practice, set personal targets and take responsibility for own personal development.
• Any other duties deemed appropriate to the grade and workload as requested by the allocated school’s Headteacher.
• To participate in the operation of the Trust’s appraisal scheme.
