Full Time, all year, generally Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

 

We wish to appoint a a professional, self-motivated and enthusiastic Trust Estates Manager to support the Head of Estates with providing effective and efficient site services function connected with the care, cleanliness and security of the whole Estate (buildings and grounds) for students, staff and visitors to all schools within the Trust.

This is a permanent, full-time post, working 37 hours per week. Call outs and weekend working may be required occasionally.

You will have proven facilities management experience as well as good computer skills using Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel and Word. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this role. Ideally you will have had experience in managing people, in addition, previous experience of working within a school environment is desirable but is not essential.

The successful candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of current and relevant health & safety legislation, good organisation and practical maintenance skills/knowledge. With a ‘can-do’ attitude, you will be a hardworking team player and problem solver, motivated to know we are doing the best for our students.

Specific areas of responsibility will include leading on the following areas:

  • To line manage Site Services teams across the Trust managing people activities around recruitment, induction, performance management and covering of shifts.
  • Manage the Health and Safety programme including fire alarm checks, asbestos, legionella, water flushing, water temperatures, emergency lighting tests, ensuring that all records are updated.

·       To lead on annual maintenance contracts from procurement, implementation and management with maintenance calendars and auditing programmes including permit to work legal compliance.
