LIFE Education Trust is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Trust Finance Manager who will bring enthusiasm and drive to lead the development and consolidation of the Trust finance operations through the next exciting stage of our growth.

Working with the Chief Executive Officer and the Director of Operations, the post holder will lead on all Trust Financial matters including preparing an annual budget for the Trust Board and managing day to day operational spending. The postholder will provide specific expertise in long-term financial management ensuring that all requirements of the Department for Education (DfE) and Education Schools Funding Agency (ESfA) are met.

As part of this role the post holder will work closely with Heads in the 7 schools in the Trust to ensure compliance with financial procedures, including the purchasing of services, the monitoring of individual academy budgets and ensuring that academies comply with their statutory obligations.

We are looking for:

 An individual with strong financial and management accounting experience.

 The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, managing, influencing, guiding and mentoring to achieve and deliver the required strategies.

 Ideally someone with experience in a school environment with good knowledge of the ESFA requirements.

 Excellent organisational, administrative and auditing skills and an inquiring mind.

 Access to your own transport and a full driving licence.

About The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls

The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls is a non-denominational academy secondary school and sixth form for girls aged between 11 and 18. It is located in Romford in the borough of Havering, London. The number of pupils is approximately 1,300.

The school was established in 1906 by Frances Bardsley with the aim of providing free education to the local girls. Formerly across two different sites until 2003, it became The Frances Bardsley School for Girls in 1972 and converted to academy status in 2012.
