Background

The Prospect Trust is a multi-academy Trust based on the Hampshire / Surrey border.

It provides outstanding education and support for c. 6,000 learners through its family of local academies that include The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School, Frimley and Frimley CofE Junior School.

We are an ambitious Trust with a relentless desire to improve the educational outcomes and lives of the young people in our local communities. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Trust Governance Advisor to join our growing team.

Our ideal candidate

We are seeking a highly organised individual to advise and work with a team of motivated governance volunteers and executive professionals. You will be able to demonstrate:

● The ability to proactively identify and manage governance issues within a regulated environment;

● Experience of working within a governance role, ideally within education or the public sector, and interpreting procedural guidelines;

● Preparing accurate minutes and proofreading documentation for a variety of stakeholders;

● A willingness to work closely with senior Trust executives and governance volunteers, with the ability to manage competing priorities;

● Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting of governance information;

● High professional standards and personal integrity.

The role

This is a part-time, term-time role, but we can be flexible about the number of hours work across the academic year.

There is a regular requirement for evening work ( approximately 5 evenings per academic term) due to the Academy Quality Council meeting cycle each term, which can be supported through flexible working hours.
