The South Bank Multi Academy Trust in York is seeking an outstanding strategic leader to serve as Trust Principal.  As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership within our collaborative structure, as the Trust grows and develops to fulfil its mission of providing the best possible education to all our students.

The Trust operates on the principle that all schools are equal partners, with a non-hierarchical structure that allows headteachers and governors to play a full role in the Trust’s operation.  The Trust Principal is the Trust’s senior executive leader, equivalent to a Chief Executive in other trusts.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a growing Trust at a formative stage.  Our schools span the full range of Ofsted categories, each with its own needs.  Your challenge will be to ensure that every school reaches its full potential, while developing the Trust as an entity that provides support, challenge, value and accountability to become more than the sum of its parts.  You will empower your colleagues to ensure that through motivational leadership and dynamic teaching and learning, the Trust helps its students progress not just academically, but as fully developed individuals ready to flourish wherever their lives take them.
