This role is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join the White Rose Academies Trust on its journey to becoming World Class.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Trust to support with a range of identified operational and strategic objectives. 

The White Rose Academies Trust is a Leeds-based multi-academy Trust with a reputation for raising ambitions, engaging local communities and rapid school improvement.

The Trust currently employs over 450 members of staff and is responsible for educating and developing almost 4,000 students between the ages of 3 to 16.

The Trust consists of three secondary schools - Leeds City Academy, Leeds East Academy and Leeds West Academy, and also recently welcomed its first primary school (Mill Field Primary Academy) on 1st December 2020.

The White Rose Academies Trust is a member of Luminate Education Group. Other members of the group include Leeds Conservatoire, Keighley College, Harrogate College and Leeds City College. The group provides leadership and operational support and advice to all our academies. They also share our vision of creating a truly outstanding Trust.

The Luminate Education Group is one of the largest education providers in the Yorkshire region, with over 30,000 students and 2,000 staff members, offering education from Early Years through to Higher Education.

Role: Supporting the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Principal, Head of Communications and Projects and leaders across the Trust Central Team on a range of identified operational and strategic objectives. 

Purpose of job: To work across the academies within the Trust to lead and develop identified operational and strategic objectives to support the work of the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Principal and the Head of Communications and Projects. 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

School Improvement:

  • Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Principal to implement an outstanding quality assurance framework across the Trust.
  • Support senior colleagues to develop high quality external school improvement partnerships.
  • Produce high quality and professionally presented documentation and reports in a variety of formats to present to Local Accountability Boards and the Trust Board.
  • Provide high quality administration for the Trust’s school improvement plan.

Fundraising:

  • Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Communications and Projects to identify a range of funding streams.
  • Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Communications and Projects to prepare and submit funding bids.
  • Assist the Head of Communications and Projects to develop a wide of range of stakeholder partnerships within private sector businesses.

Capital:

  • Identify funding opportunities for capital projects under the direction of the Chief Financial officer.
  • Trust Expansion
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer to provide high quality due diligence and research for all new academies that join the Trust.
  • Working with the Chief Financial Officer to identify and secure funding for Trust expansion.

Quality Assurance:

  • Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Communications and Projects to ensure highly effective quality assurance systems are in place across the Trust. 

Data, Research and Development Marketing:

  • Working with the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Communications and Projects to create, implement, measure and report on an outstanding Marketing and Communications strategy across the Trust.
  • Working closely with all three academies to undertake a range of research to support ongoing development and success of the Trust.

NB: The post-holder will be expected to travel between all academies within the Trust and on certain days may be required to work beyond normal hours in order to attend meetings, academy/Trust events or to complete work. All post-holders at the White Rose Academies Trust are responsible for improving the outcomes for learners and upholding the ethos of the academies.
