Salary: £39,360 - £45,034 - depending on experience. A recruitment and retention allowance may be offered for an outstanding candidate.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring candidate to effectively lead and manage the SEND provision across the Trust. Working across all academies within the Trust, the SENCo will lead on the vision, development and evaluation of the Trust SEN provision as well as the day-to-day operations. Managing the Study Support Teams, staff timetabling and SEN provision in each academy, therefore excellent time management and organisational skills are required.
The successful candidate will have QTS, understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and how this relates to an educational setting. We are looking for an individual who already has, or is willing to work towards a SENCo qualification and a Specialist Assessor qualification. You will be responsible for the identification of students with special educational needs and/or medical issues, co-ordinating annual reviews and Individual Education Plans and applying on-line for student access arrangements. You will also be liaising with feeder schools, parents, students, staff and external organisations to ensure the best possible support for students, therefore excellent communication skills are essential for the role.
