TRUSTEE VACANCY - Bridge Academy Trust

Are you passionate about education? Would you like to make a difference to children’s educational experiences? Then this may be the opportunity for you.

Bridge Academy Trust has a vacancy for a trustee on its board. This is a voluntary role.

The trust was formed in 2017; the trustees agreed the core purpose and vision as:

· High quality continuity of every child’s journey through education from 3-19

· A community and school-led school improvement system.

The trust consists of:

· Moulsham High School – 11-18 in Chelmsford

· The Ongar Academy – 11-16 (18) in Ongar

· With an additional 4 other primary phase schools joining from 1st September 2018.

The trust is committed to ensuring that every person who attends a school within the trust has a high quality experience.

With an experienced staff team in place and a strong board behind it, Bridge Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a new trustee with the necessary time, commitment and skills to contribute to the trust’s strategic goals, ensuring that the best interests of the pupils and local communities are top of the agenda, whilst also ensuring the highest standards of educational provision across all schools within the trust. The role will involve attending trust board and some local governing body meetings. This is an exciting time to be involved in the development of the trust.

Experience as a governor, trustee or non-executive director would be welcomed but is not a prerequisite.

If you are interested in being a trustee at Bridge Academy Trust and believe you would augment our board, then please do get in touch.

For further information, a visit or an application pack please contact Aishia Jefferies (Clerk) on JeffriesA@bridgeacademytrust.org or Mark Farmer (CEO) on FarmerM@bridgeacademytrust.org

Closing date: 9am, 6th July 2018.

Bridge Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding. We are an equal opportunities employer; we value diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
