Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Teacher and Assessor in Facilities Services and Personal Development.


Your duties will include teaching classroom based qualifications and conducting practical assessments, monitoring and tracking progress, training and assessing and delivering the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification.


Successful candidates will have industry experience in the required field and hold a relevant qualification, with knowledge of working with different awarding bodies.


It is essential that you hold the Award/Certificate in Assessing – TAQA and desirable for you to also hold a Certificate in Internal Quality Assurance. Updated A1 or V1 is acceptable. A minimum Level 4 teaching qualification would also be expected. If you do not hold a Level 5 teaching qualification, you will be expected to complete this within an agreed time. You must have a passion for high standards, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners.


This role may involve travelling to local businesses therefore it is desirable that you have a full UK driving license and are willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.


The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 37 days plus up to 7 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health. This leave is all in addition to Bank Holiday entitlement. There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme
