Yarrells: A great big hug of a school!

We are seeking to appoint Tutors to work with children outside of normal school hours, including evenings, weekends and/or school holidays.

This role is ideal for experienced educators, tutors or specialists who enjoy working with children and are able to deliver engaging, high-quality sessions in their area(s) of expertise. Applicants are welcome to apply if they can offer one or more of the following specialisms:

  • Grammar Tuition (verbal reasoning, maths and English)

  • Coding

  • Forest School

  • Drama

  • Music

  • Art

The Role

  • Deliver tuition to children up to the age of 11, either one-to-one or in small groups

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions within your specialist area

  • Work flexibly according to agreed availability

  • Maintain a positive, safe and supportive learning environment

All bookings and scheduling will be managed by the school.

Hours and Pay

  • Flexible, ad hoc hours (subject to demand and your availability)

  • Sessions may take place during evenings, weekends and/or school holidays

  • £35 per hour, depending on skills and experience

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Have experience working with children in an educational or specialist setting

  • Have strong subject knowledge in at least one of the listed specialisms

  • Be reliable, professional and able to build positive relationships with children

  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check

  • Teaching qualifications are welcomed but not essential
