Experience working with children, young people or adults is essential for this role through Vision for Education in the past few years.

A small expanding alternative provision based in Kirklees with a ‘Good’ reputation has a vacancy for a part-time Tutor to teach Construction. Pupils in this setting have been diagnosed with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and as part of this may display challenging behaviours. They are looking for a strong team member to joint their highly established provision. This position is currently 2 days a week initially and we require a candidate to plan and lead sessions independently and make a positive impact in the young learners lives.

The Provision:

This provision provides Education for pupils at who are high risk from Years 9 – 11.  Students attend the provision due to being excluded from mainstream education for various reasons. This particular provision has small class sizes with Behaviour Mentors to support. Team teach training would be advantageous however not essential (Vision for Education offer FREE Team Teach training for qualifying candidates. For the successful candidate this will be a long-term position with the view to being offered a contract with the School. The staff team are all passionate individuals who work collaboratively to offer the best and most flexible teaching methods for their students.
