Thank you for taking the time to find out more about King Solomon Academy and Ark Paddington Green Primary Academy in Westminster and the possibility of joining us. Included in this information pack is information about the academy’s and the role of Tutor Fellow.

Our schools, King Solomon Academy and Ark Paddington Green, aim to transform the lives of our pupils. Our mission is to provide a rigorous education that prepares our pupils for success at university and beyond, irrespective of their starting point. Our teachers do whatever it takes to change the lives of the pupils we serve.

King Solomon Academy is an all-through school with exceptional results, having achieved the highest GCSE results of any comprehensive in the country in 2015. Ark Paddington Green is a new primary school, which joined the Ark network in September 2016. The school has a uniquely friendly and inclusive community. Together, the schools are aiming to transform the outcomes of  the community we serve.

This is a unique opportunity to take an important role in our outstanding all-through school King Solomon Academy and our new primary school Ark Paddington Green Academy, which both seek to redefine what is possible for a schools serving an inner-city community.

The role of Tutor Fellow is perfect for someone who wants to become a teacher in the future. It acts as a springboard and training ground for graduates who want to learn how to teach and build transformational relationships with pupils. We are also able to offer a very clear pathway of progression into the teaching profession. The Ark School Direct training programme provides a clear route for progression. In 2015-6 all of our King Solomon Academy Tutor Fellows were successful at gaining a place on the training programme. We are growing a pipeline of great teachers who started with us as Tutor Fellows.

We are keen to find candidates to be a Tutor Fellow in Primary or Secondary. Equally, as an all-through school, we are able to provide flexibility for candidates interested in experiencing both phases.

The successful candidate will have some relevant experience for working with children and the drive and enthusiasm to inspire pupils and teachers.  Crucial to this role is the ability to coach and develop other pupils to become even better than they already are, and the successful candidate will be someone who is excited and motivated by this responsibility.
