Salary: Pro rata of points 1-9 on the Sixth Form College’s pay spine which is currently £32,178- £49,725 per annum

Due to growth and an increase in student numbers, we are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and inspirational Teacher of Science who has excellent subject knowledge and is able to contribute to our continued success in student progress and student attainment. Working as a member of our dedicated and supportive team, you will be teaching and contributing to the Chemistry units on the Level 3 Applied Science course and T Level Health. This role would suit an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher who is an excellent practitioner.

Our Science department is based in the Regional Science Centre Oldham and offers AS and A Level Physics, Electronics, Biology and Chemistry, alongside Level 2 and 3 BTEC Applied Science.    Our science students have strong progression rates to university to well respected courses such as Radiography, Pharmacology and Biomedical Sciences and the department offers a range of extra-curricular activities, including work experience for all extended students. The dedicated team offers a range of extra-curricular activities in order to help OSFC science students enjoy the sixth form experience and stand out when applying for their next steps.

We have been at the forefront of using technology within teaching and learning and are recognised as a Google Reference College and winner of a Curriculum Innovation Award for our work in delivering digital education. All students and teachers are issued with a Chromebook/laptop.
