Job overview

We’re now looking for a Tutor in Plumbing to deliver training and assessment activities to a range of learners on our full time and part time programmes, including on-site work-based assessment. Embedding the development of Skills (English, Maths and IT) at Levels E3 – L2 in all teaching practice, you will provide tutorial and pastoral care for a group or groups of students and arrange and monitor work experience activities.

We’re looking for an individual who is qualified to Level 3 (as a minimum) in Plumbing and who has experience of working in the Plumbing industry, installing systems and equipment in a wide range of environments. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be able to work successfully as part of a team and have experience of teaching and assessing Plumbing practices, either in a teaching and learning environment or in the workplace.

Assessor and Verifier Awards are highly desirable, but not essential.

This post will be based at Carshalton College.

Carshalton College is a co-educational further education college based in Sutton. It is a non-denominational school.

The college has been an education provider for over 60 years. It is a major provider of full-time, part-time, apprenticeships, access, undergraduate and supported learning courses.
