Hours: Up to 45 hours per week, term time only

We are seeking an experienced Tutor with the ability to deliver a range of vocational subjects at BTEC level, including Health & Social Care.  Candidates should also be able to deliver English, Psychology, Philosophy and History at GCSE and A Level.

Our Tutors provide tuition for small groups of young people, which allows for full engagement and ensures that the programme of learning meets the needs of the individual.  With a student centred approach, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment within which young people can flourish. 

The successful applicant should have a passion and commitment for providing creative and high quality learning experiences.  With a dynamic and inclusive approach you will have high expectations for our learners and the drive to help them achieve the best possible learning outcomes.  As a skilled practitioner you will have an empathic approach and the ability to be flexible and adapt to individual needs.

Our educational team are based at North Parade in Frome.  This newly refurbished listed building provides a central hub for our College community.  Based in the heart of Frome town centre it provides an excellent location for accessing all that this diverse town and surrounding area has to offer.

Applicants should have a recognised teaching qualification with experience of working within a SEN environment, although this is desirable, in particular an understanding of ASD.  However, we would also welcome applicants who are keen to develop skills within specialist provision and can provide support and training.

Farleigh Further Education College Frome is an independent specialist residential college for young people aged 16 to 25 with autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger's syndrome and associated complex needs including behavioural difficulties.
