Salary: Approximately £25,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time or part-time position on a permanent contract

We are adding to our team of full time tutors at Tutor Trust due to the incredibly high demand for our work. To reflect the QTS status there will also be an element where QTS tutors will work with the Training and Quality and Impact teams to support the training of tutors and the monitoring of tuition being delivered.
Job Purpose: Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver tuition to pupils (from year 5 to 11) across Greater Manchester, Leeds, Bradford or Liverpool in Maths Science or English on a 1:1 or 1:3 basis. A robust and comprehensive induction and training programme will be offered to support this
• To complete appropriate paperwork and administrative tasks relating to tuition with pupil (register, feedback, baseline tests etc.)
• To liaise regularly with your line manager at Tutor Trust
• To undergo additional appropriate training throughout the role
• To support other tutors as appropriate at training and on-going monitoring of quality
• To be involved in Tutor Trust tutorials and training where required
Person Specification – skills and attributes
• QTS
• Ability to tutor Maths, Science or English to either Secondary and/or Primary aged students
• Bright, enthusiastic and well-motivated tutor confident in dealing with young people
• Able to liaise with teachers, carers, parents and school staff (as appropriate) to support the young people involved
• Robust, flexible and resilient character with excellent time-management skills
• Must have achieved a minimum of Grade B at GCSE in Maths and English.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the goals and ethos behind The Tutor Trust
• Enthusiasm and ability to contribute to the successful development of The Tutor Trust
• Understanding of the National Curriculum, GCSE syllabus and have a broad understanding of policy issues and educational best practice relating to improving pupil achievement at KS2, KS3 and KS4
• The ability to work with children from disadvantaged or complex backgrounds
General
The job is a full/part-time, permanent position and will be based from the relevant Tutor Trust office in Manchester, Leeds, Bradford or Liverpool with frequent travel required across the appropriate city to deliver tuition. All reasonable travel expenses on Tutor Trust business will be reimbursed (not including your regular commute from home to the Tutor Trust office).
The hours of work are 40 hrs per week over 52 weeks. Holiday entitlement will be 33 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays) with 3 days of your allocation to be taken over the Christmas period. There will also involve working occasional unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends.
