The Sheffield College is seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals who can demonstrate a passion for helping students to excel in achieving their full potential. 

In the Tutorial Mentor role you will be an excellent role model to our students, supporting them to become independent learners who can reflect on their learning and find their own solutions. 

You will provide outstanding wrap around support with a focus on the students’ welfare, retention, attendance and progress. 

You will ensure this support through effective 1:1 reviews and the delivery enjoyable and stimulating group tutorials so providing learners with the opportunity to develop wider employability skills and understand how to keep safe. 

The post will be of interest to those who want to work in an educational setting and who may wish to eventually pursue a career in teaching.

You will be reporting to Head of Student Experience and work closely with teaching and support staff as well as liaising with parents and external organisations when appropriate.

The Sheffield College is one College with a number of campuses, the main ones being; City, Olive Grove, Hillsborough and Peaks. Whilst staff employed by the College are allocated a main base campus there will be times when people are expected to attend alternative sites for working arrangements such as Fir Vale and the base campus is subject to change as necessary.
