St Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (SJIIM) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). It prepares students for the IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma Programme examinations with an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-building programme of activities inspired by the school’s Lasallian heritage. This includes service learning initiatives, and a holistic approach to sport, music and the arts.

 

SJIIM is seeking an outstanding and inspirational University and Careers Counsellor whose passion, knowledge and experience will transform the outcomes of our students. Responsibility:

●       To promote the Lasallian Mission and Core Values of SJIIM

●       To provide counselling and guidance for students and parents regarding their tertiary and career aspirations

●       Lead, develop and administer the university application process

●       To demonstrate thorough knowledge of universities and application processes

●       To establish and develop networks with external agencies and university representatives

●       To develop and lead our alumni network programme

●       To develop and lead the internship programme for Sixth Form students

●       To work with the pastoral team to develop the University and Careers strand of the Character and Wellbeing programme

About St. Joseph's Institution International School Malaysia

St. Joseph's Institution (SJII) is a co-educational, Roman Catholic denominational all-through in Selangor, Malaysia. The International Baccalaureate is taught across educational stages. The region of Selangor, also known as the ‘Abode of Sincerity’, is a highly industrialised state based within an accessible distance from the capital Kuala Lumpur. The school does not offer boarding facilities.

This is a De La Salle School, affiliated with the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. SJII Malaysia is a joint venture between Lasallian Asian Partnerships for International Schools, and Tropicana Corporation Berhad Malaysia. Students are taught from preparatory stage to Grade 12. La Salle schools have a strong tradition in Malaysia, dating back to 1852. Sports facilities on campus include an Indoor Sports Hall, 25m by 15m Swimming Pool, and Basketball Court.
