University / College Counsellor – Bangkok, Thailand
An International School based in Bangkok, Thailand are seeking an experienced University / College Counsellor to provide outstanding university and careers guidance to its senior students.
This IB (International Baccalaureate) World School offers a dynamic teaching and learning environment for c.1600 students from more than 50 different countries. The school is well established and offers all three IB programmes – PYP, MYP and IBDP within its well-resourced facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, well qualified and dynamic University / College applications specialist, who has worked within an educational setting (in the UK or elsewhere) to fully support parents, students and staff at this IB world school.
As part of your role, you will be expected to establish links with universities and admissions officers globally to get a better understanding of their student recruitment process and requirements.
The Successful Candidate
Applicants must have a qualification in the field of education (or a degree with additional certification which includes the word 'education' as this is a particular requirement in Thailand for visa purposes) and preferably counselling.
Ideally they will be familiar with the IB curriculum, have two or more years’ experience working in an international school or an international admissions environment.
Experience in supporting students as they prepare their applications for higher education predominantly in the UK, North America, Australia and New Zealand is essential. Knowledge of UCAS and the US admissions process is crucial alongside knowledge of the Common App, UCAS sites and other on-line platforms to enable you to give the best possible support to our students.
