Upper Elementary teacher

Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons.

• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student achievement.

• Integrate technology into classroom instruction.

• Foster critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills.

Classroom Environment

• Establish a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.

• Implement effective classroom management strategies.

• Support students' social-emotional development and well-being.

• Promote student independence, responsibility, and positive behavior.

Collaboration

• Work closely with grade-level colleagues, learning support teachers, counselors, and specialists.

• Participate in curriculum planning and professional learning communities.

• Contribute to school improvement initiatives and accreditation processes when required.

Parent Communication

• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.

• Conduct parent-teacher conferences.

• Prepare report cards and student progress reports.

• Partner with families to support student success.

School Community

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.

• Supervise students during recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned duties.

• Lead or support extracurricular activities, clubs, or after-school programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field.

• Valid teaching license/certification from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of elementary teaching experience.

• Fluent English communication skills.
