Upper Primary Art Teacher (KS2)

The Sultan’s School, Oman’s leading bilingual school, is looking to appoint an experienced Upper Primary (Years 3 to 6) Art Teacher for August 2022. Experience of the ENC and/or the Cambridge Primary Curriculum would be an advantage but is not essential.

Visual Arts is an extremely popular subject within the school and a large percentage of our students take the subject at IGCSE and IB.

The Visual Arts department presently has 4 studios (2 in Primary and 2 in Secondary). However, as part of our campus development plan, these will be enhanced within the next 12 months and will include robotics and film suites and individual art studios for our IB students.

Please note that to qualify for a teaching position at The Sultan’s School candidates must hold a recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, QTS, GTP or national equivalent) and have a minimum of two years teaching experience.

The Sultan’s School was established in 1977 under the sponsorship of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and offers a bilingual (Arabic and English) international programme from KG to Year 13 (Grade 12). In Primary (KG to Year 6) and Middle School (Years 7 to 9) we offer a modified English National Curriculum and in Years 10 and 11 we offer the Cambridge IGCSE. In Years 12 and 13 our students follow the IBDP. Over the last five years our IBDP results have been outstanding with an average pass rate of 98%. The vast majority of our graduates go to university outside of Oman, many on government scholarships.
