ROLE SUMMARY:
The British College of Gavà is a vibrant, forward-thinking international school offering the English National Curriculum in a warm, inclusive, and innovative environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Upper Primary Teacher to teach Years 5 and 6, supporting students as they develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to transition successfully into secondary education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across all upper primary subjects, following the English National Curriculum.
Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience.
Support the pastoral development of students, building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Contribute to curriculum planning, cross-curricular projects, and school-wide initiatives.
Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
Maintain high professional standards in safeguarding, communication, and classroom management.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A degree in Primary Education or equivalent, and PGCE/QTS (or an internationally recognised teaching qualification).
Strong experience teaching upper primary (Years 5–6) within the English National Curriculum.
A passion for delivering creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
A collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching and school life.
Experience in international school settings is desirable but not essential.
