Job overview

This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior leadership role in a well-established international school in London with high standards of teaching and learning and excellent  opportunities for professional development.

Dwight School London is an IB World School offering the Primary Years, Middle Years and  Diploma programmes. The Dwight School community has a rich diversity of cultures,  nationalities and experiences, with over 50 nationalities represented and over 40  languages spoken. We are a small, friendly and supportive community with high  aspirations for our students, and high expectations of our staff.

Due to the retirement of our Upper School Principal, we are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic and principled individual to take on the leadership of our Upper School. The successful  candidate will oversee the education of students aged 11 to 18 in the Middle Years and  Diploma programmes.

We will expect visionary, collaborative leadership with a willingness to innovate and a  demonstrable commitment to high standards of teaching and learning. An international  outlook and experience of either the IB programmes and/or international education is essential.  Dwight School London is a values driven organisation and the successful  candidate will have to demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to student led,  inquiry based learning and the values of the IB learner profile.

In return you will have opportunities for professional development, the support of a  resourceful and dedicated staff, a supportive parent body and all the advantages of a  vibrant, diverse and welcoming international community.

For more information and an application pack please visit the school website. In your cover  letter of no more than two A4 pages outline how you believe education should address the  skills needed in the 21st Century and how you would lead sustainable change in a school.

The deadline for applications is 30th November 2016 and interviews will be held in the week beginning 5th December 2016.
