The UTC Sheffield Academy Trust is pleased to be recruiting for our UTC on the Olympic Legacy Park that opened September 2016 offering exciting new opportunities for students in Health Science, Sport Science and Computing. Due to expanding student numbers we are looking to expand our support team with a number of appointments.
We aim to deliver an outstanding educational experience grounded in real, relevant workplace practice. Partnerships with world-class companies, schools, colleges and universities give our students a unique start to their future careers. We provide training today for the jobs of tomorrow. Our cutting edge facilities and engagement with employers’ / university partners provides an exciting environment in which to teach and develop professionally.
Support staff are vital within any UTC and we are looking for individuals who really buy into the UTC ethos and vision. We are looking for a Learning Manager to be an integral part of our support services team.
From September 2018 we will welcome our first cohort of Y9 students to join our other established year groups Y10, Y11, Y12 and Y13. In the first instance we are looking for a Learning Manager who will focus primarily on the new Year 9 cohort and transition with additional responsibilities, but there is the expectation to be flexible regarding allocations of year groups for in future years.
You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of support services in a fast paced, student-focused environment where conflicting demands are the norm. Effective communication and team working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success.
We are looking for engaging and inspirational individuals. Resilient, driven and focused who will help establish a pioneering institution at the heart of the Sheffield City Region and its communities.

UTC Sheffield City Centre is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational University Technical College situated in Sheffield. This sponsor-led academy is part of The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust, alongside its sister institution, UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. UTC Derby Pride Park joined the Trust in December 2019. All 3 UTCs have been judged Good by Ofssted.
University Technical Colleges are secondary schools for students aged 13–19. They combine technical, practical and academic learning to deliver an education that goes beyond traditional GCSEs and A-levels.
A smaller than average secondary school, UTC Sheffield will provide 600 places for students when fully subscribed. It opened as a new provision in 2013.
