Variable Hours Lecturer – Creative Media

Bring Industry Experience into the Classroom

Do you have professional or teaching experience in Creative Media and a passion for helping young people develop their creative skills? Stanmore College is looking for talented and knowledgeable Creative Media professionals to join our teaching team and share their expertise with learners across Levels 1–3, including T Levels.

This is an opportunity to bring your subject knowledge and industry experience into the classroom, helping students develop the technical, creative and professional skills they need to progress in their chosen field.

Join Us at an Exciting Time

Stanmore College is undergoing a £60 million redevelopment, creating a modern, sustainable campus with new teaching spaces and facilities for our students. With the new campus taking shape, this is an exciting time to join us and be part of the College’s next chapter.

As part of our Art, Media & Digital department, you will work alongside experienced colleagues to deliver an ambitious Creative Media curriculum and contribute to the continued development of our programmes. You will have the opportunity to bring your own specialist expertise into the classroom and help learners understand how their creative skills can translate into further study and employment.

The Role

As a Variable Hours Lecturer – Creative Media, you will:

  • Deliver engaging teaching across Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Creative Media programmes, including T Levels.

  • Plan and adapt teaching materials, assignments and resources to support learners at different levels and abilities.

  • Assess, monitor and provide constructive feedback on learner progress and achievement.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure teaching reflects current developments within the Creative Media sector.

  • Support students with their individual learning and progression needs.

  • Maintain accurate course records and contribute to quality assurance, standardisation and internal verification processes.

  • Develop and maintain your own professional knowledge and, where appropriate, industry links within your specialist area.

  • Contribute to student recruitment activities, open evenings, promotional events and wider College activities.

Why This Role Matters?

Creative Media learners need more than technical knowledge. They need opportunities to develop their creativity, confidence and understanding of how the industry works.

As a Creative Media Lecturer, you will help students turn their ideas into practical skills and build the knowledge they need to progress into further study, training and employment. Your professional expertise and enthusiasm can make a real difference to how learners see their future opportunities.

The role also offers flexibility, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced industry professionals, existing teachers or those looking to develop their teaching experience alongside other professional commitments.

Salary: £21.77 - £33.90 (plus holiday pay) per hour

Closing Date: Monday, 16th November 2026

Interview Date: Wednesday, 25th November 2026
