Hours per Week: 22

Eccles Sixth Form College requires Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Surgeon as a Veterinary Nursing Placement Coordinator. The successful candidate will be contracted for 22 hours per week. The role requires a confident, friendly and helpful person who will be able to work under pressure and on their own initiative. 

The role involves liaising with students, teachers and employers to secure work placements for veterinary nursing students and ensure that up to date records of all placements are maintained. They will be required to secure new training practices and be the contact between the college and veterinary practices. The successful candidate will be required to assess clinical competency of learners whilst undertaking work placement and assist with the delivery of practical skills for example preparation for OSCE’s. They will also be responsible quality checking the online portfolio completed in practice (Central Skills Log) and monitoring student progress towards this. Working with the Veterinary Nursing teachers they will also play a role in the selection process of new students.
