This is a rare opportunity in one of our established academies to lead as a Vice Principal. This is the first time in a number of years that a position at this level has become available in this academy and we seek applications from exceptional leaders to join a strong and well-established senior leadership team. About the role - Who we are looking for

  • A member of the Senior Leadership Team who will work as part of the team, supporting and leading all team members.
  • Assist the Principal to communicate compellingly the school’s vision and drive the strategic leadership, empowering all pupils and staff to excel.
  • Deputise as Acting Principal in the absence of the Principal. 
  • Lead on one of our Deeps areas: Deep Learning, Deep Support or Deep Experience which involves leading a team of staff to work on innovative projects across the school. 
  • Support the Principal to lead an exceptionally talented and committed team of staff, having a relentless focus on the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring every lesson delivers the highest standard of education and inspiring learners to develop a passion for knowledge and a love of learning. You will need the skills to motivate and enthuse, coupled with the ability to coach at every level.
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner, who can motivate and inspire both staff and students. You must possess the skills of determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’. 
  • Lead the Senior Leadership Team to promote an orderly, consistent and caring learning environment for students and staff. To work with staff, parents, and the community to achieve this. Enhancing and ensuring positive life chances for our students through success and achievement.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, support and challenge staff, pupils, and other key partners.
  • Up to date knowledge of what research and inspection findings tell us about effective leadership in schools.
