We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic leader to be the Vice Principal of Stratton Upper School. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader to join a growing leadership at Stratton as well as a strong wider network of senior leaders across our Trust of 11 secondary schools.
We are looking for a leader who is 100% committed to making a positive difference to both the students’ experience and their outcomes. We require a purposeful, forward thinking leader who is caring, collaborative and good-humoured.
The Senior Leader joining our Team will be an exceptional role model to our staff, school and parent community. As a teacher, we expect our Senior Leaders to be ambassadors for their subject and model excellent lessons that challenge, engage and motivate our students. Senior Leaders at Stratton work collaboratively, not only within Stratton, but across our Trust.
The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the whole school strategic plan focusing on improving the attainment and progress of our students, participating fully in all aspects of school leadership. The exact role and specific responsibilities of the Vice Principal will be agreed annually and will change regularly, to give them the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of school leadership in preparation for Headship.
This is an exciting time to be joining Stratton. Having joined CMAT in October last year, we have access to extensive support and expertise from across the Trust and the school is making good progress towards our vision of excellence, building on our existing strengths. We have also secured significant funding to improve the facilities and infrastructure of the school and the transformation is well underway.
At this critical point in the school’s evolution we are seeking a leader who is not only enduringly positive, energetic and deeply committed to our improvement drive, but someone who is prepared to go that extra mile to support all of our staff and students.
At Stratton Upper School diversity is celebrated through an inclusive culture in which every student can thrive from feeling respected and valued for the positive contributions they make. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, satisfactory references and medical checks.
