Join a team that’s as ambitious as you are.

We understand why you became a teacher in the first place. You want to transform lives and futures. You want to see every pupil, whatever their background or level of ability, make real progress and achieve their full potential. So join a team that’s as ambitious as you are.

City of London Academy Highgate Hill, opened as a mixed, all-ability, non-denominational academy in September 2017, and is housed in a lovely building with excellent facilities for students, staff and the community. With the support of our enthusiastic students, diligent staff, supportive parents and cohesive governing body, we strive to provide a calm and purposeful learning environment underpinned by high expectations.

We are seeking a Vice Principal (Curriculum) to join us in Easter or September 2022. This is a new position and as a member of our Senior Leadership Team you will be instrumental in laying the foundation of outstanding standards of education and creating a stimulating and purposeful environment where our pupils can make excellent progress.  You will be joining a dedicated leadership team that consists of six members who have a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills. You will already have experience as an Assistant Principal looking to further your career as a Vice Principal. The successful Vice Principal (Curriculum) will have brilliant leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.  You will have overall leadership responsibility for curriculum development, extra- curricular activities and timetabling to include staff/student timetables, duty rotas, option choices and data systems. The successful candidate will be the direct line manager for at least two Assistant Principals.

You will have high expectations, a commitment to raising standards of attainment and up-to-date knowledge of teaching and behaviour management strategies. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals with good communication and organisational skills and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our pupils and their communities

We are driven by ambition: a clear ambition to deliver world-class results as we combine the heritage and tradition of the Corporation of London with a genuinely innovative, enterprising and entrepreneurial ethos.

We’re also committed to providing first-rate training and development to all our teaching staff, plus excellent career advancement opportunities within this evolving Trust. You’ll find high expectations here too. We expect the kind of exemplary behaviour that allows our teachers to do their jobs as effectively as they can.
