The post of Vice Principal has become vacant on the promotion of the current holder and the Board of Directors is seeking to make an appointment for September 2019. This is a key management role and the successful candidate will assist and when necessary deputise for the Principal in all areas of the leadership of the school. The person appointed will be an experienced middle or senior leader who is able to take an effective lead on both academic and pastoral issues and make a substantial contribution to the ongoing development of the school. Experience of preparing a school for external accreditation will be particularly welcome as will experience of working with young people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds. This post would provide invaluable experience for those aiming for headship in due course.
The remuneration package for the new Vice Principal includes a tax-free salary commensurate with the role, attractive accommodation on the school campus, return flights, health care and full-time domestic help.

Established in 2001, British International School, Lagos (BIS) is a co-education Independent international School located in the Nigerian city of Lagos. The school was founded to provide a British education to students aged 11-18. From September 2021 the school will welcome primary aged pupils to its purpose built Junior School. The school resides on a 30-acre site and accepts both day and boarding pupils. Older pupils sit IGCSE/GCSE and A Level examinations with most continuing their education in the UK or North America.
