We are seeking to appoint a driven and conscientious Vice Principal to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity allowing you to be at the heart of shaping the future success of the school to provide the academic and operational leadership for the UTC under the direction of the Executive Principal.  The UTC sits in a unique space in the landscape offering high quality professional and technical education with excellent facilities and employer partnerships.

South Bank UTC has grown and evolved in recent years and is poised for a new phase in its journey with an increased focus on the scale and breadth of its 6th form provision, as well as innovation in the form of commercial education provision with a range of stakeholders. The UTC has the licence to deliver T levels and bid funded adult education and is adding a new and powerful curriculum pathway in finance to add to the existing provision in health and engineering, with major employers on board to support.

As part of the innovative London South Bank University Group, there are unique opportunities to lead the sector in terms of academic enrichment, facilities access, advice and guidance, transition support and pathways into undergraduate and apprenticeship routes. This role gives opportunities to help shape the development and growth of the trust and LSBU Group.

The UTC has the potential to grow considerably in size and scope over the coming years and the post holder will be expected to lead on this programme in addition to continuing the UTC’s improvement journey. Key stakeholders will be the UTC’s local advisory board (governance), the Trust executive team, and colleagues at London South Bank University and our partner school, South Bank University Academy. A key part of the role will be to support trust value add and growth. The Principal will report to the Executive Principal and will be accountable for the academic, financial and operational performance of the UTC
