Job overview

Cleethorpes Academy is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school, with a vibrant community of over 900 students drawn mostly from the town of Cleethorpes and its immediate local area. Within the community served by the Academy there is a social and economic disadvantage with 38% of students being eligible for Pupil Premium.

The school is proud to offer all its students a superb, holistic education, incorporating high academic expectations with a wide range of opportunities for personal development and growth. We were rated as ‘Good’ in all areas in our recent Ofsted inspection in 2020 and we are keen to build further on this success.

We are currently looking to expand our leadership team and are looking for an inspirational educationalist with the right mindset and philosophy to join us. We are wanting someone who has a track record of driving through change and making a positive impact; someone who is a self-motivated, self-starter; not afraid of hard work; is a team player as well as leader; someone who takes a coaching attitude to supporting colleagues and whose work is underpinned by current and relevant research. More than anything we want someone who is passionate about making a difference to children’s lives and places their interest and well-being at the heart of all their decisions.

The specific role will have a strong quality assurance focus and the successful candidate joining our team will be responsible for driving through improvements in attainment and achievement by developing a whole-school approach to assessment, monitoring and tracking student progress and using data to inform decisions about intervention and additional support as necessary. In addition to being a key member of the SLT, the person appointed will need to work closely with the SENCo and development officers for teaching and learning.

Interviews will be held 7th and 8th February 2023 - Availability would be required for both days.

If you would like to visit the Academy or have an informal conversation regarding the role, please telephone Mrs D Dawson on 01472 582313.
