Vice Principal.

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive secondary academy, based in Nottinghamshire. The school is looking to add a Vice Principal to their progressive and supportive Academy and area ideally starting April or September 2022.

“They are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and talented leader to the post of Vice-Principal at their oversubscribed 11-18 academy.

To be successful you will firstly need to be an outstanding classroom practitioner, able to consistently deliver, and coach, excellent teaching and learning, and to ensure that this is at the heart of everything you do.  You will also need to be an exceptional and inspiring leader with a track record of improving standards, modelling the tenacity and the integrity required to deliver in challenging circumstances, remove barriers, and communicate a vision that inspires, motivates and enthuses – fostering a passion for ensuring every child receives the very best level of education possible.

They are based in the ex-mining town of Worksop in North Nottinghamshire and has a higher than average number of FSM children.  The academy is rated outstanding and has a relatively new senior leadership team, therefore they are looking for an experienced professional who can demonstrate strategic leadership and has a proven track for developing teams."

The school is offering:

• A super supportive and highly visible SLT team and Headteacher;

• on-going CPD with programmes of study such as NPQSL and MA in Educational Leadership

• progression support throughout the school and wider group

• the chance to take on further responsibilities in the future.

The school expects:

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• a relevant Degree or a related subject

• experience in preparing/ developing a school development plan and school self-evaluation

• understanding of "the Deeps"

• experience in carrying out management investigations

• experience in preparing/ supporting staff through Ofsted inspections

• experience in Leadership and Project Management
