Job overview
Ealing Independent College wishes to appoint a qualified and talented senior leader as Vice Principal for Pastoral Support to join our team from September 2020. This involves, but is not exclusive to, leadership of inclusion, SEND, Pastoral Care within the College and Safeguarding.
The College focuses on bringing out the best in students by providing a supportive environment where students are challenged academically and monitored closely in a pastoral sense. Positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do, whether between students, staff or parents, and we are looking for someone who shares this ethos.
Though A Level comprises the majority of the student body, our GCSE cohort (year 9, 10 and 11) is expanding, with an additional group of students following an intensive GCSE course over one year. Class sizes are small, with 6-12 students in a group, enabling staff to differentiate effectively and teach the individual, whilst having the time to provide a high standard of specific feedback which can make a measurable difference to student performance in a short period of time.
In the last 5 years, the college has been placed in the top 15% of schools for improving value to student grades, and in 2 of those years, we have been in the top 5%. It is this level of consistency which ensures that Ealing stands out from our competitors, and gives everyone connected with the College a great deal of pride.
If you would like to join our outstanding team and apply for this role, please complete the application form in full and attach a letter in support of your application to show your suitability for the post as outlined in the job description and person specification, making it clear why you want to work at Ealing Independent College.
Visits are welcome to the College, please contact Carol Milstead (Principals PA and Office Manager) to arrange at carol.milstead@ealingindependentcollege.com
Closing date for Applications is Friday 27th January 2020 at 12 Noon.
