We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled professional, who will support the Principal in leading the academy and achieving the objectives in our academy improvement plan.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, conscientious and committed professional who believes all children can achieve high standards and who wants to be part of an exceptional learning community. We are dedicated to providing our children with an exciting and stimulating learning environment, and wish to appoint professionals who share this vision and are able to sustain the excellent progress already achieved.
The Vice Principal will take a leading role in improving standards across all curriculum areas across KS2, and will initially lead learning in the Y6 teaching team. The post-holder will be responsible for raising standards across KS2 and the wider academy, modelling outstanding practice, leading CPD, organising and leading intervention programmes and contributing to the academy’s monitoring and evaluation schedule.
The successful candidate will initially teach a Y6 class, and therefore will be a highly effective teacher with a proven track record of success in KS2 SATs.
Visits to the academy are warmly encouraged during the recruitment process; please contact Melanie Denton on 0114 287 2171 to arrange.
Please visit www.listerdaleacademy.org for further details and an application pack. Completed applications should be returned by email to vacancies@astoncetrust.org
The closing date for applications is 9.00am on Friday 24th January 2020.
