St John Rigby College offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses at all levels in a highly supportive and caring environment to approximately 1400 full-time students aged 16-18. The College was inspected in February 2017 under the latest common inspection framework and became only the third sixth form college in the country to be judged “outstanding” under this framework. Inspectors quote: “The Principal and his leadership team have worked relentlessly to ensure transformational change since the last inspection. As a result, the quality of provision is excellent”...The Catholic mission and values permeate the college and are highly effective in developing students’ positive attitudes to learning” … “Students, staff, leaders and managers work together harmoniously. Students display high levels of self-respect along with respect for their teachers and peers”. 

  

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate leader who will:

· Contribute to the vision and strategic direction of the college to ensure whole college improvement.

· Take a strategic lead in the development of high standards, ensuring that all assessment and target setting processes are consistently applied throughout the college to challenge and motivate students to succeed

· Inspire our community of young people to achieve beyond their expectations, whatever their ability, to become active participants in society and responsible citizens with a strong moral purpose

Salaries for Leadership posts are based on Sixth Form Colleges’ Leadership pay scale.
