Surval Montreux is a unique international full boarding school in Switzerland for girls aged 12-19 offering innovative, personalised curriculum programmes tailored to each individual. This includes a combination of internationally recognised academic programmes (AHSP, IGCSE/A Level Curriculum), Winter and Summer Camps and The Surval Swiss Gap Experience. Flexible and dynamic in approach, girls can join Surval for 6 weeks, a term, a year, whilst others choose to work their way up and graduate from here. All girls benefit from bespoke pre-university preparation and careers advice and many students go on to study at leading universities in Europe, the UK and the USA. 

Located amidst a stunning alpine backdrop, overlooking the beautiful Lac Leman, Surval offers exceptional enrichment opportunities and experiences; including a variety of sports, clubs and activities of every kind and international travel. As a full boarding school, Surval is also a much-loved home for up to 60 girls who are cared for in an encouraging and supportive environment by passionate and dedicated staff.

Surval now seeks an inspiring and proactive Vice-Principal who will be central to upholding the ethos and driving forward the performance of the whole school.  This person will support the Principal in building further the academic character of the school community and will hold direct responsibility for curriculum development and assessment, including the line management of all teaching staff.  The role also provides real opportunity for innovation and creativity in leading and  enhancing effective teaching and learning here.

Surval Montreux is part of Bellevue Education.  As a group, Bellevue prides itself on an ongoing commitment to educational quality and ensuring its schools are fully supported in achieving this aim.  Currently the group educates 4,000 children and students aged from just a few months to over 18 years across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

About Surval Montreux: International School for Girls

Surval Montreux is a unique international girls’ boarding school in Switzerland which provides an exceptional all-round education for girls aged 12-19.  The school offers a High School programme for Grades 8-12, alongside a unique Swiss Gap programme for 17-19 year olds, Winter Camp experiences and a Summer Camp June to August. Surval programmes are exclusively for girls. All aspects of a Surval education focus on empowering girls to challenge themselves, own their voice and lead their journey.

Surval belongs to the international education group Bellevue  Education consisting of 21 schools, with headquarters in London, UK.

The curriculum is based on the American High School Program, taught alongside Advanced Placements or IGCSEs, AS and A2 levels.  We also offer an innovative Swiss  Gap year programme for post-secondary school study which includes an intensive French language programme.

Classes are small at Surval, typically around 10 students or smaller. As a small school, subject practitioners must be self-sufficient in their subject specialism, able to build their own resources, and to administer the curriculum and assessments efficiently. Flexibility is valued and expected.
