Northern Education Trust is a multi-academy trust with an excellent reputation nationally of improving student’s life chances. We sponsor 21 academies, 11 secondary and 10 primaries across the North of England, from Blyth to Bolton.

Judged “good” in its most recent Ofsted, you will work alongside the Principal and the Senior Leadership team to ensure effective leadership is in place to maintain the exceptional performance outcomes at The Grangefield Academy. This will be underpinned by our vision ‘We constantly focus on standards as we understand outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for our children. By doing this, we enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care’.

The rapid improvements at The Grangefield Academy have seen the academy move from ‘special measures’ to ‘good’ and to being the highest performing school in the North East of England for Progress 8, with attainment being well above the national average.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional leader to work closely with the Principal to help shape the further improvements required to ensure that all our students have access to the educational provision they deserve and that the academy moves to being recognised as outstanding by Ofsted. You will join a friendly and supportive team of professionals, contributing to regular networking meetings to enhance collaborative working across the Trust.

We require a strong, inspirational leader and outstanding practitioner, who has a proven track record of raising attainment and progress. You must have the passion, drive and commitment to continue the outstanding work already achieved, working in collaboration with the Trust family of schools.

For further information, please see the job description and person specification.

Please complete the application form and return via email to Peter Dowell (Trainee HR Advisor) at p.dowell@northerneducationtrust.org. For informal discussions please contact Mrs Kathryn Wright (Principal) on 01642 353637

The Trust is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.
