Summary
Canary Wharf College East Ferry is seeking to appoint an inspirational Vice Principal to join our primary team and to closely monitor our children's learning as we continuously close achievement gaps and raise standards for all pupils above those expected nationally. We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic professional who is committed to the highest standard of teaching and learning. In our multi-cultural school community, pupils are well-behaved and motivated.
The school is part of a successful Multi-Academy Trust which welcomes staff and pupils from all faiths while operating within a Christian ethos. We are based in a quiet setting in the heart of the Isle of Dogs in Tower Hamlets, yet close to Mudchute, Island Gardens and Crossharbour DLR stations and central London. The school operates long days, balanced by shorter terms.
Areas of Responsibility
The key areas of responsibility of the role will be:
- Assist Principal in all aspects of the leadership and management of the school
- Develop and manage a comprehensive range of services to meet the curriculum needs of our students
- CPD and Monitoring of standards of Teaching and Learning
- Ensure the school operates in an efficient and effective manner
- Oversee exams and assessment
- Support with timetabling and the effective deployment and management of staff

Qualifications:
- Graduate (with a good degree) plus formal Teaching Qualification or other relevant professional studies
- Evidence of recent and relevant continued professional development in the fields of teaching and learning and education management
