Northern Education Trust is a multi-academy trust with an excellent reputation nationally of improving student’s life chances. We sponsor 21 academies, 11 secondary and 10 primaries across the North of England, from Blyth to Bolton.

Judged “good” in its most recent Ofsted, you will work alongside the Principal and the Senior Leadership team to ensure effective leadership is in place to continue improving outcomes at Thorp Academy. This will be underpinned by our vision ‘We constantly focus on standards as we understand outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for our children. By doing this, we enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care’.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional leader to work closely with the Principal to help shape the continuous improvements required to ensure all our pupils have access to the educational provision they deserve. You will join a friendly and supportive team of professionals, contributing to regular networking meetings to enhance collaborative working across the Trust.

We require a strong, inspirational leader and outstanding practitioner, who has a proven track record of raising attainment and progress. You must have the passion, drive and commitment to continue the outstanding work already achieved, working in collaboration with the Trust family of schools.

For further information, please see the job description and person specification.

Please complete the application form and return via email to Peter Dowell (Trainee HR Advisor) at p.dowell@northerneducationtrust.org. For informal discussions please contact Mrs Karen Hailes (Principal) on 0191 413 2113.
