Following the promotion of the Vice Principal to the position of Principal within the school, Governors are seeking to appoint a Vice Principal to join this increasingly popular, ambitious and innovative LA maintained 11-18 community school in Peterborough.

We are looking for an inspirational Vice Principal who can provide energetic and enthusiastic standards of leadership in order to drive the school on its trajectory to become an outstanding provider of education to all students. With clear, strategic vision, you will display high calibre interpersonal and communication skills together with the ability to motivate and inspire all that you encounter.

Ofsted judged the school as “Good” in April 2016. The report commended the focused drive of the Leadership team and Governors in driving up standards for all students. Pupil behaviour is good and attendance is well above the national average.

The Ken Stimpson Academy is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational, secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Peterborough in Cambridgeshire and there are 1020 pupils on its roll.

As a single site school it has very good facilities, some of which are shared with the local district library and recreational centre. The school also benefits from a two-court floodlit Astroturf area and extensive playing fields.

Pupils are making good progress in a range of subjects including English and mathematics. Teachers consistently apply the school’s marking policy. As a result of precise feedback, pupils are able to improve their work in order to make good progress. Pupils’ behaviour around the school is impressive. They mix well and move around the school in an orderly and calm manner.”
