Job overview

Head of GCSE

Collingham Independent GCSE and Sixth-form College is seeking a dynamic Head for their GCSE Department.  The Department is made up of around 35 students, the main body of whom are in Year 11.  Although it operates in liaison with the sixth-form college, the Department has its own building and is a small, independent school in its own right.

In addition to GCSE teaching, the role will include the management and overseeing of all aspects of the students’ GCSE studies, ensuring the outstanding quality of both their academic and pastoral care.

This post would suit a Secondary professional with Head of Department or Head of Year experience.  Excellent leadership potential and organisational skills are essential, as is a real affinity with the 14-16 age group.

Further details and an application form can be requested by e-mailing the Principal’s PA at emma.clyne@collingham.co.uk

As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.
