Uppingham School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Violin Teacher to teach students from intermediate level up to Diploma standard and beyond.
Uppingham has an excellent reputation for music making. Opportunities to coach Chamber music and orchestral coaching may be available to the right candidate. This will equate to approximately a day and a half's teaching.
The successful applicant will be a creative and thoughtful teacher with a track record of success at a high level.

Work is generally presented neatly and pupils’ note-taking is effective. They develop good numeracy skills and their capacity to think critically is notable. Creative abilities are well developed and their exploration of ideas is particularly marked in their enrichment activities. Pupils’ study habits are good. In the lessons observed, pupils worked very well with each other, and also worked well independently. They enjoy their work and this stems in part from the good-natured atmosphere in lessons.
