We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivational senior leader for the Virtual School who can champion outstanding educational outcomes for all children and young people in the care of the Local Authority.

The post holder will be somebody who can:

  • Demonstrate recent successful leadership experience in a secondary school, or whilst working in a Local Authority role, and understand the educational context of looked after and adopted children
  • Lead and develop a high performing Virtual School team
  • Work with initiative and imagination to unblock significant barriers to the educational success of children in care
  • Demonstrate skills in solving complex problems in challenging situations
  • Be able to work confidently and autonomously across multi agency teams
