Closing date:

Roedean SchoolBrighton and Hove

Date posted:
Start date: January 2020
Contract type: Part Time
Salary: Salary based on Roedean’s own salary scale
Contract term: Permanent
Suitable for NQTs: Yes

Roedean is at a very exciting time in its development, with strong and positive growth in pupil numbers, development of first class facilities across the site, the launch of the Roedean Group of Schools and the opening of the new Performing Arts School in September 2019.  We welcome your interest in being part of our continuing journey.

We are seeking to appoint a professional musician with relevant performing/teaching qualifications and experience of teaching French Horn from beginner to elementary level. You will teach individual lessons, currently two pupils per week, with the prospect of growing further interest in the instrument at the school.  A willingness to participate in the wider work of the department would be an advantage as would the ability to cover theory and aural training but this is not essential.

Please download an application pack from our website or contact Louisa Butler via or 01273 667657.

Closing date:  9am, Friday 6 December 2019. Due to the need to appoint quickly we reserve the right to interview and appoint at any time.

Roedean is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.
