Caterham School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational visiting teacher of classical guitar to teach across its Prep and Senior Schools. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching pupils from beginner to beyond grade 8. This is a self employed role.

Music at Caterham is central to the life of the school. Each week, over 350 individual instrumental and vocal lessons are delivered by our team of 25 visiting music teachers. There are over 20 student ensembles, including three orchestras, seven choirs, and numerous small and large chamber ensembles, some of which are directed by VMTs.

Initially, it is anticipated that there will be approximately one day’s teaching, with the possibility to build on this. The successful candidate would be encouraged and supported in recruiting new pupils.
