Job Title: Visiting Music Teacher (Piano)

Location: Sedbergh School & Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School

Responsible to: Director of Music

Sedbergh School and Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School are seeking an experienced, committed and outstanding Visiting Teacher of Piano to join our department as soon as possible to meet demand. 

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, flexible, reliable and caring practitioner, who has excellent interpersonal, performance and teaching skills. They will be comfortable and experienced in working with young people aged 4-18, including complete beginners.

Whilst it is always difficult to predict pupil numbers, the role will initially consist of one full day of teaching per week at the Senior School, with the very strong likelihood of the role expanding to two days subject to take up in both schools. This could be split across days if necessary, but please note that teaching cannot happen on Wednesday afternoons. There are also likely to be accompanist opportunities at rehearsals and performances in the Prep School, as required by the Head of Music (Prep). 

The role is required to start as soon as possible.
